Science in Bonn

Bonn is where much of Germany's research funding is decided. The German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation all have their headquarters here, and so does the German Space Agency at DLR.

Bonn.science will look at how grant systems work: who funds research, how proposals are judged, and what researchers coming from abroad can apply for. The city also sits on our Space route, because German space programmes are planned and funded here.

Space route: Pasadena.science → Noordwijk.science → Bonn.science → Frascati.science

Concept Cities route: Sevres.science → Lyon.science → Bonn.science → Bologna.science → Frascati.science

The full hub is in preparation.
